In 1987 by a Decision No 2 dd 26.02.1987 of the Council for Agricultural and Forest Management at the Council of Ministers, technological combine centers for mechanization and erosion control in all district cities. They were intended to assist agricultural organizations in the afforestation process, planting and harvesting of farm products through the use of highly efficient machinery. Another objective was to carry out routine, emergency and major repairs, manufacture of spare parts, training of personnel and implementation of new technical developments. Within the structure of the Stara Zagora technological combine were the mechanization repair stations in Chirpan, Nikolaevo, Galabovo, Topolovgrad, PMBE Kaloyanovets, ORP Stara Zagora and the Agricultural Secondary Vocational School of Chirpan. Tsvyatko Tsvetkov was the combine director.

In 1988 the District Council of Stara Zagora allocated a land plot of 40 000 sq.m. for the construction of a repair station for capital repair of 250 tractors and 60 grain harvest combines, a workshop for milking and refrigeration equipment, workshop for development, storage areas and others. The repair station was constructed in 1994. Manufacture of spare parts started - about items for grain harvest combines, ploughs for tractor T 150, fertilizers 650 ...., 350 kg and 250 g, garbage disposal trucks for the communal companies, etc.

The company management then organized and provided for annual training of the regional agricultural specialists in the higher educational institutions - from foremen to chief engineers, as well as university students trained under these programs. Under decision No 3259/1991 of the District Court of Stara Zagora, MTOBE was transformed into the state company DF Agrotex complex taking over the assets and liabilities of CO Mechanization and Technical Maintenance, Sofia, after its winding up in accordance with the memorandum of allocation.

Under a decision No 4850/1992 of the District Court of Stara Zagora DF Agrotex complex changed its business name to Agrotex complex Ltd., with Tsvyatko Tsvetkov as a managing director. The mechanization repair stations of Topolovgrad, Nikolaevo, ORP and the mechanization repair station of Chirpan remained within the structure of the company and then became independent companies with the exception of ORP and the mechanization repair station of Chirpan. Part of the facilities were sold to Agrogrant in Stara Zagora and the mechanization repair station of Chirpan owned by Zlatex, Stara Zagora, in 1997 under a permit issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. The equipment purchased after the technological combines became independent companies remained property of Agrotex complex Ltd. The company constructed at its own an internal and external water supply line and boiler room for the central heating of the central facility.

Today Agrotex complex Ltd. is a company specialized in agricultural processing and repair of agricultural machinery, has its own equipment and repair facilities. The company has very good facilities for commercial and manufacturing activity.
